At your request, wine or other beverages, cheese, and appetizers can be served.
During the consultation each guest will be assisted in selecting the stones that will most benefit them for their necklace. If desired, accompanying bracelets and/or earrings are also available.
The career path that has brought me to make custom jewelry out of healing stones has been a long one with many twists and turns. It all started with a love of cooking. I remember spending lots of time in the kitchen with my mom. I loved all of the different tastes, aromas and textures of foods, and how combining them was a sensual experience. I went on to work in the restaurant industry as a professional cook during the years my husband was in school. After our children were in school I started working in the deli at Wild Oats Market (now Whole Foods). There, I learned a great deal about natural and organic products, and how the body is affected by chemicals, preservatives and additives.
After almost 15 years in the health food industry I made a huge career switch and went to work at a local jewelry store. I began to learn about the healing energy contained in natural stones and crystals. I had been collecting stones for awhile, but didn’t really know what I was going to do with them. I started doing my own research on the internet, as well as reading several highly recommended books. I have to admit was skeptical at first, but the more I handled the stones, the more I began to feel that energy. I started buying as many different types of stones as I could find. I have always been a creative person, and making the switch from creating in the kitchen to designing jewelry was a natural progression.
I started making jewelry for my closest friends, being mindful of their personalities, health issues and birth signs. I received such positive feedback, many of them encouraging me to start my own line of healing stone jewelry, that I realized this is what I have been called to do. I have heard from some of the recipients of my necklaces that they wear them almost every day, and sometimes even sleep with them on.
It is a blessing to enjoy your “work”, and to know that in doing so, you are enhancing another person’s well-being. I love creating jewelry, and hope that I can create something for you!
